ABOUT CHRIS MCKAY....
CCHT. Certified Canine Hydrotherapist (UK)
ACWT. Association of Canine Watertherapy
I have been involved with dogs, in training, sports and working, for many years. Flyball (at National level), Agility, Obedience, GTG (Go To Ground) and Herding.
My love of dogs began when I was a child in the UK and has continued to grow over the years. I train sport dogs and companion dogs, always with an emphasis on respect between the Canine and Handler.  Having this life long dream to work with dogs on a full time basis, I decided to retire from over 20 years in the human medical field and open C.A.M. (Canine Aqua Management) K9 Pool & Rehabilitation Centre.

C.A.M. is an Aqua Conditioning Pool and Wellness Centre,  on Vancouver Island, that encompasses everything for our canine friends, from physical conditioning to emotional wellbeing. C.A.M. specializes in care for pre/post operative dogs, conditioning for performance dogs and weight management for longer and healthier lives. As well as providing inpatient and respite care.
My own philosophy is that, As our life begins, we start in water and returning to water brings back deep memories of safety. Water releases endorphins to help heal, make us feel well and provide a relaxed state of mind. Its no different for our canine friends, so my aim is to be able to treat 'The Mind, Body and Soul' of our beloved dogs.

I have also participated in the following 'Clinics' over the years.

-Clicker Training: 4 weeks with Monique Charbonnier-2000
-Herding Clinic: (2 days) with Diana Gauthier-2003
-Herding Clinics: (2 days) with Ken McKenzie (Alberta)-2004, 2005, 2006.
-Herding Clinic: (2 days) with Kathy Knox (Washington)- 2005
-Flyball Seminar (2 days) with Theresa Rector 2006
